Q. How will the finished picture look?

A. The quality of the picture that you currently see over your computer will vary greatly depending on the computer equipment you're using to view this site. Let us assure you, of all the computers we have used to view our website, we have yet to see ANY that accurately depict the quality, clarity, and color of the actual photographs. The photographs themselves are extremely clear, and full of rich color. The tonal quality simply does not translate well over the net. All photos were taken with an early model Nikon FE Series, 35MM SLR, most with Nikkor Lenses. Those who are familiar with Nikon cameras, know that the early model Nikkor lenses exceed even the performance of today’s lenses. Whether you purchase only the mounted photo, or you decide to go with the fully framed option, all aspects of the process (from photofinishing to framing) are executed by professionals in their field. The final product is a piece of artwork that you will be proud to display in your home or office. All photos are signed and dated by the photographer. In short, we are so sure you will be satisfied with the finished product, we guarantee your satisfaction – or we will refund the purchase price! 

 

Q. How should I care for my photo?

A. The longevity of the photo overall, will depend upon the care taken in its placement in whatever room it may be displayed. Other information on photo longevity, may be found by going to Terminology & Definitions, and reading about the types of mounting and matting material options you may select for your purchase. Of course, it is recommended that all prints be shielded from prolonged contact with ultra-violet exposure, including sunlight and florescent lighting, as this will diminish the vividness of your photo's colors over time. Otherwise, a little dusting off and cleaning of the glass, should be all that is required to maintain a beautiful looking print.  

 

Q. Is it acceptable to reproduce pictures from this website?

A. No part of these publications may be reproduced or stored in a digital system different from this world-wide-web server. No image embedded in these publications may be pointed to by other world-wide-web servers without explicit written permission by the originator of this web site, and without explicit reference to this copyright notice. We do not automatically grant permission to download and print single copies for   personal use, assimilated to making a photocopy from journals in a library. Permission may be granted, if request is submitted in writing, and provided that individual user ensures that the copyright notice is attached. Q. How long does it take to receive my order?

A. US and Canadian orders typically take about 3-5 business days from date of shipping, depending upon the type of delivery specified. International orders can take from 7-10 business days, depending upon the type of delivery specified. If you are located on an island, delivery times indicated above, may take a little longer. Please note: some countries may charge a customs fee, and that would be the customer's responsibility. Also, delivery times are based on point of entry for international orders. Actual shipping time will depend on whether your photo selection is in stock. Please confirm this at time of order. 

 

Q. What are your shipping charges?

A. Please see our list of shipping charges outlined on our Price List. Note: we DON’T charge a handling fee with our orders. The fee you are charged is a direct pass through of the fee that we are charged for delivery of your package.

 

Q. What credit cards and other methods of payment do you accept for orders?

A. We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discover. We also accept money orders and personal checks, however, allow an additional 10 days delivery time to allow for check processing.

 

Q. Does your web site protect and respect my privacy (my name, address, telephone number and e-mail address)?

A. We do not share or sell any personal information from our customers. For more information on our policy, please click on our Privacy Policy.

 

Q. May I ship items to another address or person?

A. Yes. If you want to send items to friends or family, we welcome the opportunity to meet your gift giving needs. Simply specify in your e-mail/phone call the shipping address, and that you wish the purchase to be a gift. We will see to it that your selection is handsomely gift wrapped, and a card provided to the recipient with your personal message handwritten. All this for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!

 

Q. What is your return policy?

A. Customer satisfaction is very important to us. Our return policy is this: if you are not completely satisfied with the finished product, simply return it within 30 days of receipt of your order for a full refund. Note: We only refund shipping costs if the return is the result of our error. In no event shall Spirit of the Islands' liability exceed the purchase price paid (if any), including shipping costs (if applicable), for the image(s) available for sale on this web site.
